RTOs are providers and assessors of nationally recognised training

RTOs are providers and assessors of nationally recognised training. Only RTOs can issue nationally recognised qualifications. The VET Quality Framework is a set of standards and conditions that Australian Skills Quality Authority uses to assess whether an RTO meets the requirements for registration. This ensures the quality of Vocational Education and Training (VET) services throughout Australia

VET QUALITY FRAMEWORK

The VET Quality Framework is aimed at achieving greater national consistency in the way providers are registered and monitored and in how standards in the VET sector are enforced.

The VET Quality Framework comprises:

  • Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015
  • Australian Qualifications Framework
  • Fit and Proper Person Requirements (the requirements are now part of the Standards)
  • Financial Viability Risk Assessment Requirements 2011
  • Data Provision Requirements 2012.
